Primary School Curriculum of Doha Modern Indian School – Qatar
The Primary School consists of Grades 1 to 5. Here the emphasis is on the concept formation, reasoning skills, problem solving and creative thinking.
The core academic curriculum includes instruction in English, Mathematics, Environmental Science, Social Studies, Information Technology and Value Education or Islamic Studies. Students are introduced to second language with a choice of Hindi, Malayalam, French, Tamil or Arabic. In addition, there are co-curricular activities such as Music, Dance, Art and Physical Education.
The primary level builds an interest in exploration and places an emphasis on acquiring sound language skills, clarity of concepts and an understanding of scientific principles. Children acquire the building blocks of friendship, good study habits and a love for learning.
